LockSport New Zealand Code of Conduct

LockSport New Zealand is a group of like-minded individuals who share skills and knowledge in the field of physical security.

We do not exist to further criminal efforts. We gladly share our hobby with newcomers however we will not show people how to engage in illegal conduct. Breaking and entering is a serious crime that we DO NOT participate in.

LockSport New Zealand is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate including discussion at venues or on the mailing lists. Discussion pertaining to any illegal activity is not appropriate and may be passed on to local law enforcement at the organisers discretion. Any participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the events and/or mailing lists at the discretion of the organizers.

Harassment includes offensive verbal or written comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the events and/or mailing lists. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact an organiser immediately.

Organisers will be happy to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the events. We value your attendance.

We expect participants to follow these rules at all venues, group-related social events, and on the mailing lists at all times.
